Who we are and how to reach us
This website is run by BeamPay Ltd, trading as Honeyguide, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 16903978) with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. We are the “controller” of your personal data under UK data protection law.
For anything about your data, email hello@honey-guide.uk.
What we collect, and why
| Information | Why we use it | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address | To contact you about early access, testing and the launch of Honeyguide | Your consent |
| Your business website (optional) | To understand which businesses are interested and to prepare your early access | Your consent |
| Anything you write to us by email | To reply to you | Our legitimate interest in answering enquiries |
| Basic technical data (such as your IP address) handled by our hosting provider | To deliver the website securely and protect it from abuse | Our legitimate interest in running a secure website |
We don’t sell your information, we don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t use it to make automated decisions about you.
Who helps us run things
We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:
- Cloudflare — hosts and secures this website.
- Formspree — receives the early access form and forwards it to us.
- Microsoft — provides our email.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires, such as UK-approved contract clauses or the UK–US “data bridge”.
How long we keep it
We keep your early access details until Honeyguide launches and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or become a customer (in which case we’ll tell you how we use your data as a customer). Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to deal with them.
Cookies
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t use analytics that track you across sites. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set a small cookie that is strictly necessary to keep the site secure and tell people apart from bots; it doesn’t identify you and doesn’t need your consent. Our fonts are hosted on our own website, so no font provider receives your details. If this ever changes, we’ll update this notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- see the information we hold about you;
- correct it, or delete it;
- stop or restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it;
- give you a copy in a portable format.
You can withdraw your consent at any time — just reply to any of our emails or write to hello@honey-guide.uk. We’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
As Honeyguide grows, this notice will change. We’ll always show the latest version here, with the date it was updated, and we’ll let early access members know about any significant changes.
